THE SPACE BETWEEN TOUCH

As Assistant Director on The Space Between Touch, written and directed by Katherine Severin, I helped guide a production that required both precision and profound sensitivity. The film explores the silenced realities of sexual violence between women and the fragile boundaries between comfort and fear, themes that demanded a set environment rooted in trust, respect, and care.

Balancing this emotional depth with the logistical demands of filmmaking, I worked to maintain an efficient, focused schedule while ensuring that every scene involving intimacy was handled with intention and transparency. Collaborating closely with the director and the intimacy coordination team, I helped facilitate a workflow that supported the cast’s emotional safety and the crew’s professionalism without sacrificing creative momentum.

Throughout production, my goal was to uphold both the film’s emotional integrity and its practical execution, enabling Katherine’s vision to unfold with clarity, compassion, and control.
